Sindbad Co. Established In 1983

Prior to 1958 Merryland was primarily a horse racing area, in Heliopolis.
In 1958 the government ordered the design and construction of Merryland Garden which was opened in 1963.
At this time facilities included a restaurant, nightclub, roller skating and a park.

In 1997 the lease of Merryland was taken over by Sindbad Group of Companies which has, since 1983, a wealth of experience in tourism industry. September 1998 witnessed the beginning of a total revamp that culminated with the opening of Merryland-The New Generation.

It offers its guests a wide variety of dining and entertainment experiences in outstanding panoramic views, extending over 27000 square meters of greenery, lagoons and waterfalls. Local and international food chains have contributed with their expertise to create a complex of first-class restaurants, bars, pubs, discotheques, cafes, a multipurpose room, a nightclub and a bakery shop.

Merryland is an ideal place for outings, especially if you have children, who will be thrilled to spend their day at Splash Park to watch the dolphin, sea lion and beluga whale shows, live animal and bird displays or enjoy the Giant Park rides, paddle boats, games and many other fun attractions. Facilities include shopping arcade, flamingo lake, summer cinema, etc.
